PoE (Power over Ethernet) - is a technology that allows you to transfer power and data through a single Ethernet cable. All that is required is to connect a PoE-issuing device to a PoE-powered device via an RJ-45 network connector. Paired with a controller board, this module will allow you to power your project via Ethernet.

PoE has many advantages for use in different projects:
You can save time and money electrical power cables with network cables, which do not require a qualified electrician to fit them, and can be located anywhere.
Without being bound to an electrical outlet, devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points can be fitted to where they are most needed and be easily moved.
POE is designed to protect network equipment from overload, insufficient power or improper installation.
POE power comes from a central and universally compatible source, not from a collection of distributed wall adapters. Having power on the network means that installing and distributing network connection is simple and efficient.
Passive PoE - passive power can significantly reduce the price of equipment. But at the same time, such equipment does not check the device that needs power over a twisted pair for power consumption and its state. That is, the voltage is simply supplied continuously, which might result in incompatibility with some equipment.
