The next affordable smartphone by Oppo – the Oppo A6x – has not yet been officially presented, but its price has already been revealed. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the new model will be available in India in three versions: 4/64 GB for $140, 4/128 GB for $150, and 6/128 GB for $165. It is unknown whether these prices include any promotions or discounts.
Recently, the same source disclosed the key characteristics of the upcoming model. The Oppo A6x 5G will feature an IPS display with a 6.75-inch diagonal, HD+ resolution, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, supported by a substantial 6,500 mAh battery with 45-watt wired charging capability. The main camera will have a 13 MP sensor, while the front camera will feature a 5 MP resolution. The smartphone will come with pre-installed Android 15 and ColorOS 15, and offer IP64 protection. Thickness is calculated as 8.58 mm, with a weight of 212 grams.
In addition, Abhishek Yadav has previously accurately shared data about the Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite smartphones before their announcement. Meanwhile, no details about taxes included in the prices or recent additional updates regarding Oppo A6x have been confirmed as of now. Speculations around its competitive pricing and potential market impact continue to surface. As the market eagerly awaits its release, comparisons with recent models like the Xiaomi Redmi Note and Samsung Galaxy A series will likely ensue, with many anticipating whether the Oppo A6x will meet or surpass user expectations.
