OnePlus has vividly demonstrated the differences in protection levels that modern smartphones can achieve. Many people are unclear about distinctions like those between IP68 and IP69, but OnePlus clarified these using their upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6T.

The OnePlus Ace 6T is equipped with the maximum protection against dust and moisture as provided by industry standards.

IP66 means the device isn’t afraid of splashes and can effortlessly handle being showered with water. IP68 allows for underwater use without worry for functionality. The device can endure prolonged immersion in water at depths greater than 1 meter. IP69 indicates a level of protection where the device is fully sealed against dust and capable of withstanding water jets at high pressure and temperature. The manufacturer states confidently that you can take your smartphone into saunas or steam rooms without concern. IP69K confirms the highest degree of protection from dust and water, designed to withstand cleaning by water jets under high pressure at temperatures of 80°C (176°F).

Earlier, OnePlus announced the imminent release of the flagship OnePlus Ace 6T smartphone, marketed as the world’s first smartphone with a Glacier battery capacity of 8300 mAh and fast charging support SuperVOOC Flash Charge at 100W (123 mph).
