The OnePlus 16 smartphone is set to boast not only a massive battery and a 200-megapixel camera but also a screen that’s unprecedented in the current smartphone market. Insider Digital Chat Station reveals that the device will feature a display with a refresh rate of 200 Hz or higher. At present, the maximum available in select models is 165 Hz, with even 144 Hz not being very common. Previously, some Sharp smartphones claimed 240 Hz screens, but their actual frame rate was 120 Hz, achieved through software enhancements.
The insider also confirms details about the 200 MP camera and the next-generation Glacier battery with a 9000 mAh capacity. So far, such large batteries haven’t been seen among flagships. The OnePlus 15 was released last fall, so the new model is likely to launch this fall. Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as that the Realme GT 7 Pro would feature a bright Samsung screen and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC would release ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
