The company holds 92% of the entire market, effectively making it a monopoly. However, it is noteworthy that, year-on-year, Nvidia has increased its share by 2 percentage points, though it lost the same amount in quarterly terms.

AMD’s share stands at 7%, and even Intel has appeared in the statistics with a 1% share, something not seen in a long time. Incidentally, it’s worth recalling that the creator of Linux unexpectedly chose an Intel graphics card for his new PC. This development aligns with Intel’s recent strategic moves toward enhancing its presence in the GPU segment.

In total, 12 million discrete GPUs were shipped to the market in the quarter, up by 2.8% compared to the previous quarter. Such increments might suggest a growing demand for discrete GPUs, potentially driven by emerging AI applications and gaming developments.
