Nubia’s Sleek New Offering Isn’t Quite as Airy as It Seems

Company Nubia is preparing to unveil its gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 11 Air. The name hints at a thin and light body, but in reality, things will be different. According to insider Smart Pikachu, the device will feature a thickness of 7.85 mm, which is slim but not quite an iPhone Air. Additionally, its weight will amount to 207 grams, which is somewhat hefty for a relatively thin smartphone.

The photo of Nubia, however, reveals that the battery will have a whopping capacity of 7000 mAh, although this isn’t the best on the market today. Additional specs include a 120W fast charging, a 6.9-inch display, 24 GB RAM, a cooling fan, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. This essentially places the model a notch below the Red Magic 11 Pro. The flagship has a larger battery and a newer, more powerful platform, albeit at the cost of a thicker (8.9 mm) and heavier (230 grams) build. In terms of Red Magic models, the new one does qualify as ‘Air’.

Insider Smart Pikachu has previously provided accurate information about new mobile market entries, particularly Xiaomi devices. For example, he disclosed details about the launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet.
