Company Nothing seems to have significantly adjusted its plans for 2026 amidst market conditions. The head of the company, Carl Pei, announced that this year Nothing will not release a new flagship smartphone. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro model, launched back in March of last year, will remain the formal flagship at least until 2027.

Meanwhile, the company will not leave its fans without new offerings. The Nothing Phone (4a) model will be released later this year. However, it is unclear if it will be the only new product for 2026. Pei noted that the new affordable smartphone aims to provide a user experience comparable to flagship models, utilizing high-quality materials and a bold new design.
Amidst these developments, it is noteworthy that other players in the smartphone market are likely to capitalize on the temporary withdrawal of Asus, which has already announced its exit from the smartphone market, at least for the time being. Companies in the mid-range segment, such as OnePlus and Xiaomi, might look to capture the consumer base left by Asus, offering competitive features at similar price points.
