Note 60 Pro vs. iPhone 17 Pro: The Newcomer with a Pixel Surprise

Company Note has unveiled the Note 60 Pro smartphone, a design seemingly inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro. However, this Chinese novelty includes a rather unusual standout feature. As seen in recent images, a screen is positioned on the back. Unlike the fully functional display on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, this screen is pixelated. It can display time, temperature, notifications, charging data, and more.

On the technical side, the new model relies on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, indicating decent performance. Additionally, the smartphone features a 6.8-inch screen with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Further specifications include a 6500mAh battery, 90-watt charging, and a 50-megapixel main camera. A full announcement is expected at MWC 2026.

Recently, many smartphones have begun to experiment with additional screens to enhance user interaction and customization options, diverging slightly from Apple’s minimalist design philosophy. The pixel screen on Note 60 Pro creates a retro-modern aesthetic, potentially appealing to tech enthusiasts. As for processing power, while the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is robust, it competes directly with the A17 Bionic chip in the iPhone 17 Pro, which is known for its superior energy efficiency and processing speed.

The market is seeing a trend towards higher refresh rates, with 144Hz becoming increasingly common. This feature benefits mobile gamers and users who appreciate smooth scrolling. The Note 60 Pro’s main camera is competitive, yet mobile photography continues to be led by brands focusing on computational photography advancements, pushing boundaries beyond mere megapixel counts.

MWC 2026 is anticipated to showcase new technological innovations, with many eyes on how Note’s strategy to blend unique aesthetics with strong technical specifications will be received.
