Following the unveiling of the new Toyota Corolla, the joint venture GAC Toyota presented the new Toyota Levin L sedan in China. Essentially, it’s a clone of the Toyota Corolla, but with a more traditional front-end design.

The cost of the new model ranges from 130,000 to 149,000 yuan ($20,004 to $22,920). Buyers are offered a wide selection of three powertrains: a base 1.2-liter turbo engine, a more expensive version with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, and a hybrid system based on a 1.8-liter engine.

The main feature of the model is an extended wheelbase of 2750 mm (with overall dimensions of 4695x1780x1435 mm), promising more space for rear passengers. The car’s interior has been significantly modernized: a 12.9-inch screen is installed as part of the media system based on the Qualcomm 8155P SoC, and a digital instrument panel features an 8.8-inch screen. The equipment list includes a leather steering wheel, a 64-color ambient lighting system, and a 50W wireless charging option for smartphones.
Special attention is given to safety: the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 driver assistance system is included as standard equipment across all trims. The technical specifications of the powertrains are as follows: 1.2 turbo: 116 hp; 2.0-liter naturally aspirated: 173 hp; Hybrid based on a 1.8-liter engine: 137 hp.
