The company itel has unveiled its new A100 smartphone in its home market of India. While it is common for manufacturers to replicate the iPhone’s design, this new release closely resembles the OnePlus 15 and Oppo Find X9. Naturally, its specifications are far from flagship level like those of OnePlus or Oppo, but the manufacturer asserts the A100 is remarkably durable. Unfortunately, beyond mentioning military-grade durability, no further details are available.
Regarding specifications, the device is powered by a Unisoc T7100 SoC paired with a modest 3 GB of RAM, a combination rarely seen in the market lately. There’s also a version with 4 GB of RAM. Both models offer 64 GB of flash storage. Additional features include a 6.6-inch HD+ screen supporting 90 Hz refresh rates, a 5000 mAh battery with 10-watt charging, an 8 MP camera, and Android 15 Go Edition. Despite these features, it is priced affordably at merely $75 or $83, depending on the version.
As of 2026, the budget smartphone sector remains fiercely competitive in India, with players like Realme and Xiaomi dominating the scene. Itel’s A100, however, sets itself apart with its focus on durability-a feature often overlooked in budget ranges but of significant appeal to Indian consumers who value robust devices.
Moreover, the inclusion of Android 15 Go Edition ensures a streamlined experience, especially critical for first-time smartphone users or those transitioning from feature phones. This positions the A100 not just as a cost-effective option, but potentially a reliable choice for those seeking a resilient and efficient device on a budget.
