MSI’s Timely Gamble: Unveiling the Ultra-Exclusive GeForce RTX 5090 32G

MSI’s Taiwan division has announced a unique promotion – a 24-hour lottery where winners will have the opportunity to purchase the exclusive GeForce RTX 5090 32G LIGHTNING Z graphics card. The price of this new product is a substantial 165,000 Taiwanese dollars (about $5,200 USD). Currently, only 10 purchase slots are being raffled, with the total global release limited to 1,300 units – each with an individual serial number.

The Lightning series has traditionally been MSI’s pinnacle of engineering, and the new 5090 is no exception. The card is built on a custom PCB and equipped with a factory-installed liquid cooling system. The device requires connection to two 16-pin 12V-2×6 connectors. In the Extreme profile, the power limit is set to 1000 W, but a special OC version for enthusiasts supports up to 2500 W. MSI recommends using power supplies with a capacity of at least 1500 W with this accelerator.

For image output, there are three DisplayPort 2.1b ports and one HDMI 2.1b port. In comparison, the main competitor is the ASUS ROG Matrix RTX 5090 (with a power limit up to 800 W) priced at $4,000, but such cards are now almost impossible to find on sale.

This card is well-suited for gaming enthusiasts and professional developers seeking extreme performance. The limited availability adds to its exclusivity and market attractiveness, outperforming the ASUS ROG Matrix RTX 5090 with its higher power capacity and cutting-edge engineering.
