Insider Evan Blass (evleaks) has shared images of the Moto Razr Fold, Motorola’s first foldable smartphone in a new form factor similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The Moto Razr Fold externally resembles the Motorola Edge series. The camera module is located on the left, consisting of three lenses and LED lighting. The black variant will feature a carbon fiber finish, while the white model may have a faux leather finish. An additional button is also present on the left side of the device. Should Motorola adhere to the same design logic as in the Razr 60 Ultra, this button could be intended for artificial intelligence functions.

Particularly interesting is the form factor seemingly chosen by Motorola. Instead of the wider design like the Google Pixel Fold, the Razr Fold resembles the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. The outer display is tall and narrow, while the inner screen appears almost square. This interface is well-suited for multitasking, placing apps side by side, and viewing content in portrait mode. The drawback, as usual, lies in video playback. When viewing most content, black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen.

According to available data, it is for this reason that Apple is leaning towards a wider form factor for its future iPhone Fold.
