Mixx Audio has introduced the Analog Plus player, which it touts as the world’s first concentric combination player for vinyl records and CDs.

The device’s design makes it apparent what it offers: the ability to play both vinyl records and CDs using a single modular setup. While the discs are indeed placed on different levels of this module, the aesthetic and functional flow remain cohesive.
We aimed to create something truly unique, and I would say that our mission is accomplished. It’s quite unusual, but it makes sense for people with limited space who need one versatile device – Prash Vadhgam, CEO of Mixx Audio.

At the heart of this innovation is the Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge, known for its reliability and performance. This player can handle both 7-inch and 12-inch records at 33 or 45 RPM. Armed with Bluetooth 5.3 and a remote control, it offers seamless connectivity and ease of use, enhancing the listening experience with the latest wireless technology. The expected retail price is approximately $400.
Recent Developments in Combination Players
Recent trends indicate growing interest in hybrid audio systems that bridge analog charm and digital convenience. Though Mixx Audio’s Analog Plus stands out for its innovative concentric design, brands like Pro-Ject and TEAC also offer systems combining vinyl and digital playback features, albeit using separate modules, often priced similarly at around $450.
Implications of Bluetooth 5.3 in Audio Devices
Bluetooth 5.3, featured in the Analog Plus, brings improved audio stability and energy efficiency, crucial for maintaining high sound quality over wireless connections, making it a fitting upgrade for modern audio devices.
