Minisforum X1 Lite-255 Unveils as Compact Powerhouse in Mini-PC Market

Minisforum has officially unveiled its latest mini-PC, the X1 Lite-255, boasting a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 255 eight-core processor with 16 threads, capable of reaching speeds up to 4.9 GHz, and integrated Radeon 780M graphics designed to elevate gaming and productivity experiences. A notable feature of this model is its support for up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM and dual M.2 SSDs, providing ample room for both memory-intensive applications and fast data storage.

Equipped with modern connectivity options, the X1 Lite-255 includes USB 4.0, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.0. Additionally, it features an OCuLink interface, which facilitates the connection of external graphics cards, a practical option for users needing expanded graphical capabilities. The cooling system incorporates two copper heat pipes and dual fans, maintaining noise levels under 35 dB during standard operation, ensuring a quiet computing environment.

The X1 Lite-255’s Ethernet capabilities are bolstered by a 2.5 Gbps RJ-45 adapter, alongside Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 modules, ensuring seamless and fast wireless connectivities. Weighing in at just 670 grams, this mini-PC delivers a significant hardware punch in a compact and lightweight form factor. The starting price for the basic configuration without RAM and SSD is set at $280.

In terms of industry competitions, the AMD Ryzen 7 255 and Radeon 780M positioned this mini-PC competitively amongst its peers, delivering robust performance in multitasking and visualization tasks, often rivaling similar models such as Intel’s NUC series when considering raw processing capability and energy efficiency.
