The renowned mini-PC manufacturer, Minisforum, has unveiled its latest innovation at CES 2026-the Minisforum AI X1 Pro-470, powered by the newest 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. The processor boasts 4 powerful Zen 5 cores and 8 energy-efficient Zen 5c ones, capable of handling up to 24 threads simultaneously with a clock speed reaching up to 5.2 GHz. Its TDP ranges from 45 to 65 watts.

The integrated graphics are managed by the potent Radeon 890M iGPU, built on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, with 16 compute units. This GPU choice reflects a growing preference for advanced integrated solutions, providing a notable 55 TOPS in NPU performance, pointing to increased AI capabilities in compact systems.

The device supports up to 128GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, leveraging the latest DDR5 technology with enhanced speed and bandwidth to boost overall system performance, particularly in multitasking and heavy applications. Storage can go up to 4TB across three SSD slots (with two being Gen4x4), accommodating extensive data storage needs.

The Minisforum AI X1 Pro-470 features a rich array of ports, including OCuLink for external GPU connections, two USB4 ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, and dual 2.5GbE LAN ports. These advancements highlight a trend towards increased adaptability and versatility in desktop replacements. Furthermore, it integrates Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth, technologies designed to offer higher throughput and enhanced connectivity stability, particularly suitable for small form factor devices like mini-PCs.

Among the standout features of this mini-PC are built-in speakers, a fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated Copilot button.
