The company Zephyr may soon release a highly powerful graphics card in a Mini-ITX format. The manufacturer has revealed that they are working on the Sakura Blowing Snow X card project based on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super. Why a card from the previous generation was chosen remains unclear, but as it stands, there are just no models of the RTX 4070 Ti Super or even the RTX 4070 Ti in such a form factor.
Zephyr claims that the cooling system has already passed tests. Importantly, the card will not be trimmed down and will operate at its standard TDP of 285 W. In the tests, Zephyr developed three radiator variants: copper, aluminum, and aluminum with a graphene coating. Tests were also conducted with a fan running at two speeds: 3000 and 3800 RPM. Such innovations might place Zephyr at the forefront of cooling technology, given that graphene coatings can contribute to increased heat dissipation efficiency.
As a result, the temperatures were as follows: Copper/3800 – 62.5 degrees, Graphene/3800 – 65.3 degrees, Aluminum/3800 – 65.4 degrees, Copper/3000 – 69.7 degrees, Graphene/3000 – 70.9 degrees, Aluminum/3000 – 71.7 degrees. Generally, these figures are quite normal.
The manufacturer states that with the fan speed at 3000 RPM, the noise level was approximately the same as other Sakura cards in the same form factor. The choice of an older generation card could be due to cost-effectiveness and proven stability in real-world performance scenarios.
The Mini-ITX format is particularly appealing to enthusiasts seeking powerful yet compact builds. While some consumers express concern over the balance between performance and size, experts point out the advantages of optimized thermal management in confined spaces. The introduction of graphene-coated radiators is seen as a potential game-changer due to their high thermal conductivity, reducing overheating risks during intensive gaming sessions.
