Mazda3e: A Futuristic Blend With a Hint of Tradition

Although the future of the Mazda3 model is still unclear, the company has patented the name of a new model – Mazda3e – in various regions: in the UK, EU, and Australia. Technical details are not yet available, but reports suggest that Mazda might utilize a rebadged Chinese car, as it did with the Mazda EZ-6. This model, available in both China and Europe as the Mazda 6e, exemplifies Mazda’s innovative strategy.

Analysts suggest that the donor for the new Mazda3e could be the Deepal L06, similar to how the Mazda EZ-6 is based on the Deepal SL03. If Mazda follows a path akin to the Mazda 6e, the upcoming Mazda3e will be offered in two versions: an extended-range hybrid and a pure electric vehicle.

The hybrid variant combines a 97-horsepower 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a 255-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle and a 28.39 kWh traction battery. The electric version is equipped with a single rear motor producing 268 horsepower, with two traction battery options – 56 kWh and 69 kWh.
