Logitech G304 X Lightspeed: Lighter, Faster, and More Powerful

Logitech G has officially unveiled the wireless gaming mouse G304 X Lightspeed, an updated version of the popular G304 and G305. The new model retains the recognizable design, but includes several significant upgrades, such as reduced weight, more modern specifications, and enhanced connectivity options.

A key change is the built-in 290 mAh lithium battery, replacing the AA battery. This change has reduced the mouse’s weight to 57 grams, improving the balance of the body. The G304 X supports dual-mode connection: wireless via Lightspeed 2.4 GHz with reduced latency and increased stability, and wired via USB-C.

The mouse features the Hero 25K optical sensor with a sensitivity range from 100 to 25,000 DPI, a polling rate of 1000 Hz, tracking speed above 400 IPS, and tolerance to acceleration up to 40G. In autonomous mode, the G304 X operates for up to 106 hours, and a 10-minute quick charge provides approximately 11 hours of operation. It supports profiles in Logitech G Hub, is equipped with PTFE feet, and has switches with a lifespan of 20 million clicks. The model will be available in black, white, purple, and pink, and is compatible with Windows 10 and macOS 12 or later.

Recent advancements in gaming mice technology for 2025 include improved sensor accuracy and battery innovations that could further enhance gaming experiences. Additionally, major competitors like Razer and Corsair are also rolling out cutting-edge features in their products, such as customizable weight settings and hybrid connection modes, increasingly focusing on the competitive esports arena where such features make a tangible difference.

As the gaming hardware market becomes more crowded, consumers benefit from continuous innovations aimed at both novice gamers and professional esports players. Logitech’s latest release positions itself as a top contender with these advanced features while maintaining affordability compared to its peers.
