Lexar has unveiled its latest portable drives, the JumpDrive A50V and C50V, which come in flash drive format with capacities of 512 GB and 1 TB. According to the company, they are specifically designed for use with car dashboard cameras.

The A50V features a USB-A connector, while the C50V uses USB-C, offering flexibility in usage. Despite the size difference, both models are remarkably compact, with the A50V being particularly small. Utilizing TLC NAND memory and supporting USB 3.2, these drives can achieve data transfer speeds of up to 200 MB/s.
Lexar has emphasized their suitability for continuous 24/7 loop recording, with the ability to automatically overwrite old recordings as the memory fills up. This feature is especially beneficial for long trips or extensive security surveillance.

Priced at $110 for the 512 GB version and $205 for the 1 TB model, these drives are positioned competitively in the market. With advances in NAND technology, these devices offer customers higher durability and reliability for everyday use.
The ongoing development in portable storage technology and rising demand for smart automotive solutions suggest these drives could set a new standard for in-car data recording equipment. It’s certainly a valuable addition for anyone seeking seamless high-capacity data handling without bulky hardware.
