The new Kia Sportage Platinum Edition is set to officially roll off the assembly line at the advanced Yueda Kia plant in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, on February 7. Sales are expected to commence in March this year, as excitement builds for this latest model in the Sportage lineup.
The rear features star-patterned taillights that complement the front design, offering a visually cohesive and striking appearance. The car boasts dimensions of 4,695 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and between 1,678 mm to 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm, ensuring a spacious interior for all passengers.
Inside, the new Kia Sportage Platinum Edition is equipped with a next-generation ccNC intelligent vehicle management system and introduces a large heads-up display for the first time, enhancing the driving experience with dynamic and real-time information.
The model enhances its driver assistance capabilities by expanding the Level L2+ driver assistance system, now a standard feature in major trims. This includes the addition of the HDA 2 Highway Driving Assist System II and the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) function, elevating the safety and convenience for drivers.
Regarding powertrains, the new vehicle offers two petrol engine options: a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (model G4FS) with a maximum power of 147 kW and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine (model G4NN) delivering up to 180 kW. Both engines are expected to be paired with an automatic transmission, providing a potent combination of power and smooth driving experience.
The Kia Sportage Platinum Edition represents a significant step forward with its enhanced design, cutting-edge technological features, and improved performance metrics. Car enthusiasts and potential buyers are keenly anticipating its market arrival, as it promises to elevate the standards in the SUV segment. As global demand for intelligent and efficient vehicles continues to rise, Kia appears well-positioned to meet this demand with their latest offering.
