iPhone Fold: A New Era in Apple’s Design
It seems we have our first look at what the iPhone Fold might eventually look like (name presumed). CAD drawings of the device were published by the German site Iphone-Ticker. It can be seen that the design of the camera block resembles the iPhone Air, only with two sensors. Earlier leaks also described the foldable iPhone as something resembling two Air models folded together.

The dimensions when folded are 83.8 x 120.6 x 9.6 mm, meaning if Apple’s novelty ends up like this, it will be quite thin but far from the thinnest on the market. When unfolded, the width will be 167.6 mm. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 has dimensions of 158.4 x 72.8/143.2 x 8.9 mm, so their format differs quite a lot.

In the unfolded state, according to CAD drawings, we get a main screen with a diagonal of 7.76 inches, which is slightly smaller than the iPad mini’s screen.

Recently, the resource The Information reported that the foldable iPhone will have an internal screen with a diagonal of 7.7 inches and an external one of 5.3 inches, and here everything matches.
Technical Specifications and Industry Trends
Foldable phones continue to evolve, with manufacturers focusing on durability and hinge mechanisms. Samsung’s latest Galaxy Fold models have introduced improved UTG (ultra-thin glass) for better resilience, a trend Apple is likely to follow to enhance display robustness. The rumored ceramic shield protection could further elevate its scratch resistance.
Anticipated Release Date
While Apple has not officially announced a launch date for the iPhone Fold, industry analysts speculate a release window around late 2025 or early 2026. This timing aligns with Apple’s historical product release cycles, suggesting tech enthusiasts and Apple fans may soon get their hands on this innovative device.
