Publication Cnet has published the comprehensive testing results of the batteries from 35 smartphone models. The testing included two stages: a three-hour video streaming via Wi-Fi at maximum brightness and a 45-minute “intensive” simulating real-world load (games, video calls, and social media).

The undisputed leader of the ranking was the iPhone 17 Pro Max, equipped with a 5088 mAh battery.

The main sensation is the result of the base iPhone 17, which shared second place with the OnePlus 15. Notably, the standard iPhone model’s battery is 50% smaller in capacity than its competitor from OnePlus: 3692 mAh vs. 7300 mAh. The iPhone 17 Pro took the fourth position, while the third place went to the Poco F7 Ultra with a 5600 mAh battery.

Battery Innovations and Efficiency

The iPhone 17 Pro Max’s dominance is partly credited to its advanced A17 Bionic chip, which boosts energy efficiency and prolongs battery life. Moreover, OnePlus 15 has received praise for its fast charging capabilities through Warp Charge technology, which significantly reduces charging time without overheating.

Competitive Edge in Mid-Range Pricing

Poco F series models are often recognized for their balanced battery performance and value-oriented pricing. Despite its mid-range sector, the Poco F7 Ultra’s battery life prowess is comparable to higher-end models from competing brands, showing significant advancements in power optimization.
