Product manager of iQOO has officially confirmed what was rumored earlier: the new flagship iQOO 15 Ultra will be unveiled at the beginning of 2026, before the Chinese New Year (by February 17). The device is positioned as the industry’s first “high-performance Ultra smartphone.”
The main features of the new product, according to insiders, include a powerful cooling system with a fan. This will allow the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC to operate at maximum frequency. Additionally, this model is rumored to have touch “shoulder” trigger buttons.
With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the iQOO 15 Ultra could greatly impact the market due to its advanced processing capabilities and enhanced thermal management. The inclusion of a fan in the cooling system is a rare innovation among smartphones, helping maintain peak performance without throttling.
In the ultra-premium smartphone segment, key competitors are expected to be devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max, both of which emphasize camera innovations and AI capabilities. However, iQOO’s strategy focuses on delivering unmatched performance and gaming enhancements, potentially drawing in a distinct user base of tech enthusiasts and gamers.
