iPhone 17 Outshines Rivals in a Competitive Chinese Market

The iPhone 17 series by Apple continues to break records, with November seeing the brand’s smartphone sales in China more than doubling compared to the previous year. According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the shipment volume of foreign brand smartphones surged by 128.4%, while the overall market grew by less than 2% year-on-year.

Experts note that the demand for Apple’s new models exceeds the company’s expectations, which forecasted a 10% revenue increase during the holiday season.

In external estimates, by the 49th week of 2025, approximately 13.3 million iPhone 17 units were sold in China. If the current trend continues, year-end sales could reach 16 million units. Previously, it was reported that Huawei reigns supreme in the Chinese market: the Mate 80 flies off shelves at 50,000 smartphones per day.
