Yesterday, Intel unveiled the Core Ultra 3 processors featuring a powerful integrated GPU in their high-end models. IGN has confirmed earlier leaks indicating that this lineup will include specialized processors for portable gaming consoles. These new models, under the name Core Ultra G3, are set to compete with AMD’s Ryzen Z series. While details about these new CPUs remain under wraps, the high-end iGPU Arc B390 in Intel’s latest processors significantly outperforms the Radeon 890M found in Ryzen AI and Ryzen Z2 Extreme processors.

Regarding the CPU component, it may not be as crucial for gaming consoles, but the Panther Lake lineup doesn’t include chips with potent CPUs. Instead, it features small cores and LP cores, which could be advantageous for portable devices by enhancing autonomy.
Intel’s Core Ultra G3 processors, rumored to be released in 2026, focus on improved graphics performance and energy efficiency, addressing critical demands in the portable gaming market. As gaming trends towards mobility and flexibility, these processors could redefine standards, offering an edge over AMD’s competing models.
