According to the source, the device is actively in development, offering four color options: white, black, orange, and purple. The device is codenamed ‘Lindy’ and will feature a 6.3-inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, a metal side frame, and an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Leaks have previously suggested the Magic8 Mini would come with a 1.5K resolution screen, a 200-megapixel camera, a telephoto lens with a 50-megapixel sensor, a 5500mAh battery, and a body thickness of less than 7mm. Modern developments in camera technology suggest that the 200-megapixel camera could offer exceptional low-light performance, providing more detailed images, especially in hybrid zoom modes.

Digital Chat Station has a track record of accurate leaks, including early information on Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro specs, and reports that the Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a bright Samsung display and the Dimensity 9400 SoC will be released before the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

As the smartphone market becomes increasingly competitive, brands are pushing the limits of camera and battery technology to attract consumers. High-capacity batteries like the 5500mAh unit in the Magic8 Mini can provide extended usage time, crucial for power users and gamers. Industry trends also hint at potential advancements in fast charging capabilities that Honor might integrate, aligning with consumer demand for long-lasting and rapidly recharging devices.
