Innovation Expands: Honor Unveils Magic 8 Series with A Luxurious Twist

According to the Chinese insider Fixed Focus Digital, Honor is preparing a significant expansion of its flagship lineup. The existing models, Magic 8 Lite, Magic 8, and Magic 8 Pro, will soon be joined by three new models: the compact Magic 8S, the ultra-thin Magic 8 Air, and the premium Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design.

The Magic 8S is rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, a flat 6.3-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will boast a metal frame and is set to launch in four colors: white, black, orange, and purple. This device aims to deliver both performance and flair in a compact package.

A surprising development is the Honor Magic 8 Air, with a thickness ranging between 5-6 mm. This model is expected to include a 5500 mAh battery, a 200-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens, and a 6.31-inch display. Insider notes suggest that its design will be “even more Apple-like” than the Honor 500 series.

The third newcomer, the Magic 8 RSR, remains a “luxury” variant of the Pro version. Its collaboration with Porsche Design promises an exclusive aesthetic and high-end features, emphasizing a blend of technology and elegance. The official announcement for the Magic 8 Air and Magic 8 RSR is anticipated in the second half of January.

Previously, Fixed Focus Digital shared details about the computer version of the HarmonyOS operating system, expected to be released in 2024. This new version aims to broaden its ecosystem, offering a seamless integration between devices while enhancing user interaction through added functionalities. The leak also included images of the new iPhone SE4, renders of the Huawei Pocket 2, and initial details on the colors of the iPhone 16.
