Infinix XPad Edge 4G: A Modern Classic with a Touch of Nostalgia

Infinix has launched its latest tablet, the XPad Edge 4G. Despite lacking modern features like a current platform or 5G support, it comes with a price tag of approximately $325, but that’s only for the Malaysian market so far. There is a possibility that the cost might be lower in other regions due to its relatively basic specifications.

The device is powered by the older Snapdragon 685 SoC, missing 5G capabilities, and offers 8/256 GB of storage. It might not be leading in technology, but it delivers in other areas.

The large 13.2-inch screen features a resolution of 2.4K and a 90 Hz refresh rate, an aspect that is still admired for media consumption. Additional features include four speakers and a relatively lightweight design at 588 grams for such a sizeable device, embraced by a metallic body which speaks to its sturdy build.

Running on Android 15, the XPad Edge carries an 8000 mAh battery supporting 18-watt charging. Though not the fastest, this battery capacity promises decent longevity for daily tasks.

While the tablet doesn’t boast cutting-edge technological advancements, its balance of features and price could attract those valuing practicality over high-end specifications. Some initial user reviews have noted that, although it lacks certain modernities, the tablet performs well for everyday tasks like browsing and media streaming.
