An unusual incident involving the humanoid robot Unitree G1 has suddenly become viral on social media. The video shows a test where the robot synchronously mimicked a human’s actions in real time. Initially, the demonstration went smoothly. However, during another movement, the robot turned towards the operator and accidentally kicked him in the groin. The person instinctively crouched in pain, and the robot immediately mimicked the action. 
In the comments, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk was noted, leaving a “laughing with tears” emoji. Elon Musk has previously promised to release a new version of the Optimus robot early next year. Recall that in November, Unitree Robotics introduced a full teleoperation platform, allowing the G1 to imitate human movements in real time and learn from videos – from soccer kicks to martial arts moves. Additionally, Unitree Robotics released an app that allows ready-made animations to be uploaded into robots, including the Bruce Lee style.
