Huawei officially announced that the presentation of its new line of devices, including the Mate 80 series, the foldable flagship Mate X7, and several other devices, will take place on November 25 in China. The official slogan for the Mate X7 is “The more you unfold, the more it impresses.”
Shortly before the announcement, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, published a promotional video showing the appearance of the Mate X7 for the first time. According to insiders, the smartphone will feature a BOE screen with a diagonal of 7.95 inches (20 cm) and a 2K resolution, along with the Kirin 9030 SoC. The new model will be lighter and thinner than the previous generation, equipped with a larger battery and improved camera.
Huawei has also released teasers for a new stylus and Free Buds Pro 5 Yue Zhang wireless headphones. Both the stylus and headphones are now available for order in China.
The Mate X7’s screen size and resolution place it in direct competition with other high-end smartphones, appealing to users focused on media consumption. Foldable technology has been rapidly advancing, and the Mate X7 is expected to include enhancements in hinge technology and display durability. This evolution aims to increase portability while maintaining high performance, responding to consumer demand for devices with long battery life and superior cameras.
