Huawei has introduced a new laptop operating under HarmonyOS. The HM740 model, like the earlier HM940 released in spring, is targeted not at regular users, but at the corporate market. One of the main features of the HM740 is its platform with dual digital spaces, essentially allowing two separate environments to run on a single laptop: one for work and one for personal use. Switching between them is possible with a simple gesture on the touchpad.
Additionally, Huawei emphasizes hardware security measures, assuring that confidential company data stays within the PC. For IT departments, Huawei offers what it calls zero-delay deployment within the HarmonyOS Enterprise Edition. This means that as soon as the laptop is unpacked, security policies and environment settings are automatically applied, reducing setup time and easing the burden on corporate administrators.
There is little information about technical parameters. For instance, it’s unknown which processor the novelty is based on, and there is no pricing.
Experts have noted that the dual-space function could significantly enhance productivity and security for users handling sensitive information. Recent trends indicate that companies prioritize these aspects amidst evolving work-from-home demands. Such innovations might be supported by the latest hardware and software technology, ensuring smoother user experiences.
