Huawei Mate 80 Sales Surge: Breaking Records and Beating Expectations

The Huawei Mate 80 series achieved over a million units sold in just 18 days after launch. The standard version accounts for 76% of sales. This series has significantly outperformed the previous one, the Huawei Mate 70, showing an impressive increase of approximately 115% in sales.

The Huawei Mate 80 series officially hit the market at the end of November. With outstanding sales figures, Huawei led China’s mobile phone sales charts for two consecutive weeks, on the 48th and 49th weeks, with a market share of 27.81% and 22.89%, respectively. Currently, other than the standard version, the Mate 80 series models are not available. They need to be pre-ordered or attempted to be purchased during flash sales.

Sales are expected to exceed 2 million units in the first quarter of 2026. Previously, some analysts predicted that the total circulation of the Mate 80 series smartphones would reach around 9 million units.

As of December 2025, Huawei continues to perform robustly in the market, maintaining a competitive position despite existing geopolitical challenges. The company’s high sales figures can be attributed to its ability to deliver technologically advanced products, aligning with consumer expectations and sustaining demand amidst global pressures.
