Honor’s Cross-Device Innovations: Breaking Barriers with MagicOS

Honor expands the capabilities of MagicOS to work across different devices, and now users have access to a notification sharing feature with iPhone. This feature was first introduced in the November MagicOS 10 update, which also added face unlock support for Dynamic Capsule and video lock screen wallpapers. The product director of MagicOS, Caopu Guige, confirmed that the notification sharing feature with iPhone is already supported on several Honor phones and tablets. Compatible devices include the Magic V5, V3, and Vs3 series, the Magic 8, 7, 6, and 5 series, as well as the Honor 500, 400, and 300 series. It is also available on Honor GT, GT Pro, and MagicPad 3. Support for more models will be added in future system updates.

This feature is designed to synchronize notifications between devices. After pairing, users can view iPhone system alerts and app notifications directly on their Honor device. This helps users who carry both devices stay informed without constantly switching screens. Honor claims the goal is to provide a stable and convenient experience for everyday use.

For using this feature, Honor devices must run MagicOS 10 or later, and the iPhone must be updated to iOS 15.6 or higher. The setup process is simple. Users install the Honor Connect app on the iPhone, create a QR code in the app and scan it using the Smart Connectivity feature on the Honor device. After pairing, users can select which notifications they want to synchronize.

First user reviews indicate that the feature works smoothly, alerts arrive on time, and do not alter notification behaviors on either device. Honor states they will continue to improve this feature based on user feedback and plan to add more cross-platform functionalities to enhance MagicOS’s compatibility with other platforms.
