The Honor Power 2 smartphone has been put through its paces in Geekbench testing, with well-known insider Digital Chat Station revealing its specifications. The device is slated to feature an octa-core system-on-chip, including one performance core clocked at 3.4 GHz, three performance cores at 3.2 GHz, and four efficiency cores at 2.2 GHz, paired with Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. In the Geekbench benchmark, the device scored approximately 1700 points in the single-core test and 6500 in the multi-core, aligning with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor.
The standout feature of the Honor Power 2 is its record-breaking battery capacity of over 10,000 mAh. The insider specified that the Win model will have a 10,000 mAh battery, while the Power version will boast 10,080 mAh. It’s anticipated that the device will be unveiled next month.
Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as noting that the Realme GT 7 Pro would feature a bright Samsung screen and the SoC Dimensity 9400 would launch before the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The substantial battery feature positions Honor Power 2 as a formidable competitor against market giants like Samsung and Apple, potentially prompting advancements in battery technology across the industry. Enhanced battery life coupled with robust performance specs such as those resembling the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, challenges competitors to innovate beyond current standards.
