The Chinese regulatory authority, Telecom Equipment Terminal Network, has listed a new Honor device with the model number NLA-AN00. It’s expected to hit the market under the name Honor Play 60A. Alongside its registration, key specifications of the smartphone have been unveiled.
The dimensions of the Honor Play 60A are set to be 167×77×7.89 mm, with a weight of 186 grams. The device will feature a 6.75-inch display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a battery capacity of 5130 mAh. Although the specific SoC is currently unknown, the processor’s frequency will be 2.2 GHz. The main camera will come with a 13-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing camera will feature a 5-megapixel sensor.
For comparison, the Honor Play 60, released in April, comes with a Dimensity 6300 SoC, a 6000 mAh battery, and an IPS screen with a 6.61-inch diagonal and a frame rate of 120 Hz.
Recent developments in the Chinese smartphone market indicate a growing demand for affordable devices with robust features. Honor, capitalizing on this trend, aims to cater to a tech-savvy audience looking for reliability and performance without a hefty price tag.
Industry experts predict that the Honor Play 60A may feature improved battery life and performance optimizations tailored for everyday use, setting it apart in its category. As we await an official announcement, the market remains attentive to how this device will be positioned among competitors.
