Before the advent of the Nubia Fold with its 6560 mAh battery, the Honor Magic V5, featuring a 6100 mAh battery, held the title of the foldable phone with the largest battery. A new leak suggests that Honor might regain this title, as the upcoming Magic V6 is reportedly going to be equipped with a battery at least 1000 mAh larger than its competitors. It is expected that the Oppo Find N6 will debut in the first quarter of 2026 as the first foldable phone of the next year.
Foldable phones from brands such as Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, and even Apple are anticipated in 2026. However, these phones are unlikely to surpass the Magic V6 in terms of battery life. According to a new leak from insider Digital Chat Station, the forthcoming Honor Magic V6, based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, is in development and will feature two battery capacity options.

The first model will come with a dual-cell battery with a 6900 mAh capacity, while the other will have an even larger battery at 7200 mAh. To note, the Magic V5 was also available in China with two battery variants: 5820 mAh and 6100 mAh. The insider added that the V6 battery might be approximately 1000 mAh larger than those of foldable phones from other brands.
There is still no information regarding the release date of the Honor Magic V6. It’s likely to debut in mid-2026, following a pattern established by Magic V5, presented in June this year. Previously, Digital Chat Station accurately reported the specifications of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as the Realme GT 7 Pro’s bright Samsung display and the earlier release of the Dimensity 9400 SoC than Snapdragon 8 Elite.
