Honor’s New Smartphone in Collaboration with Porsche Design
The company Honor has officially announced the release of its new flagship, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design. This confirmation came from Honor’s research and development engineer Cao Gong, who hinted at testing the new device. The message was reposted by A Yong, an engineer in the Honor performance optimization department, who revealed the name Honor Magic 8 RSR.
The device will position itself above the Magic 8 Pro, becoming the brand’s most advanced smartphone with a focus on design, performance, and photography. The key feature of the Magic 8 RSR is its joint development with Porsche Design. The smartphone will feature exclusive industrial design, premium materials, and a unique finish that sets it apart from the standard Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro models.

Advanced Hardware and Exclusive Features
The hardware is rumored to include 24 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The setup is expected to feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50R LOFIC camera with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and a dynamic range of up to 110 dB, which should enhance low-light photography.
The smartphone will sport a 6.71-inch LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution, a 7200 mAh battery with 120W wired charging, support for wireless charging, and satellite communication. Additionally, 3D fingerprint and facial scanning are claimed, and the body has full waterproofing with IP68/69/69K certification.
Market Impact and Future Prospects
