Honor Breaks Record in 2025 with 71 Million Smartphone Sales: A Strategic Move Towards Global Dominance

Honor has proudly announced that it sold 71 million smartphones in the year 2025, setting a new company record. This achievement is not just a record; compared to 2024, sales increased by one and a half times. Moreover, in an impressive feat, 10 million of these units, or 14%, accounted for flagship smartphones.

Interestingly, the global smartphone market saw significant changes in 2025, with AI-driven features becoming a key selling point. Honor’s advancement in AI through its Honor Alpha strategy potentially contributed to this surge. Although there is no directly comparable data for other companies, Honor’s growth pattern suggests a leading edge in some markets.

Of particular importance to the company is the fact that about half of all sales were made in markets outside China. This international success highlights Honor’s strategic edge, particularly as they became market leaders in Malaysia, occupying over 18%, and astonishingly seizing 30% of the tablet market there.

The smartphone industry’s 2025 trends focused heavily on integrating AI, with competitive brands investing heavily in innovative tech. Honor’s success with the Magic7 line is notable, but rather than emphasizing Magic8, they’re pivoting towards the Honor Alpha strategy, which revolves around AI. Over the next five years, Honor plans to invest $10 billion in this initiative.

Predictions for 2026 suggest continued growth, possibly bolstered by Honor’s increasing focus on AI as global smartphone demand shifts towards more intelligent and integrated devices.
