Gigabyte has launched the AI TOP 500 TRX50, a high-performance gaming PC under its Aorus brand. This cutting-edge machine is designed not only for avid gamers but also for professionals like AI developers and content creators who demand top-tier performance in their work. Why is it significant now? It arrives shortly after the Threadripper 9000 series announcement, signaling rapid advancements in PC technology.
At the heart of this system is the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX processor, boasting 24 cores and 48 threads, reaching speeds up to 5.3 GHz. This is ideal for workstation-level tasks, supporting eight-channel memory for optimal data handling. There are reports about a more powerful variant, the Threadripper PRO 7975WX, featuring 32 cores, suggesting even greater potential for performance.
Equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, the system delivers unparalleled graphics performance. With 32 GB of memory, it excels in AI computations, reaching up to 3352 TOPS. Remarkably, Gigabyte takes a different approach by processing data entirely in the system’s memory, thus integrating a staggering 768 GB DDR5 R-DIMM to fully utilize the processor’s capabilities.
The system features two SSDs: a versatile Aorus Gen4 7300 with 2 TB capacity and a specialized AI TOP 100E, offering 320 GB for high-intensity workloads. Notably, the latter’s rewrite endurance is claimed to be 150 times higher than standard SSDs, making it ideal for rigorous tasks.
Built on the TRX50 AI TOP platform, it includes a robust Aorus 360 mm liquid cooling system for the CPU.
