GeForce RTX 5060 Takes the Crown: GPU Battle Intensifies in South Korea

Analysts from Danawa in South Korea have published a report on graphics card sales in the country for 2025. A key moment last year in the consumer 3D accelerator market in South Korea was June – the month of the GeForce RTX 5060 release. Prior to this, the undisputed leader was the RTX 4060, holding an impressive 40.48% of the market. However, the launch of the GeForce RTX 5060 triggered a sharp decline in interest for the previous generation model. By the end of 2025, Danawa’s statistics recorded a new favorite: GeForce RTX 5060 captured 32.12% of the market. In second place was the RTX 5060 Ti with a share of 15.61%. Closing the top three is the RTX 5070 Ti (about 12%).

The report reveals an interesting segmentation by manufacturers. In the budget segment (RTX 5060), the leader is the brand Palit, accounting for 25.2% of GeForce RTX 5060 sales. MSI occupies the second position with 19.02%. Analysts attribute Palit’s success to an aggressive pricing policy, which is critically important for entry-level cards. Buyers of non-reference overclocked solutions prefer MSI: the company leads in sales of RTX 5060 Ti (29.18%), RTX 5070 (28.34%), and RTX 5070 Ti (26.2%). There is also noted growth in the shares of Zotac and Gigabyte.

The statistics showed a clear division by type of cooling systems: 95.77% of all RTX 5060s sold are equipped with two fans. Starting with the RTX 5070 series, solutions with three fans dominate (up to 99.5% for the Ti version).

Looking ahead to 2026, industry analysts are keeping an eye on potential advancements in GPU technology, particularly the integration of AI-enhanced features and improved energy efficiency. An anticipated launch of NVIDIA’s next-gen series could further shift market dynamics. Meanwhile, consumer trends suggest a growing demand for more powerful cards that support VR and AR applications.

Competition among GPU manufacturers remains fierce. Companies like Palit and MSI are continuously seeking strategic partnerships and innovations to maintain their edge. Rivals like Zotac and Gigabyte have also been ramping up efforts to capture greater market share, focusing on improved cooling technologies and competitive pricing. As one analyst noted, “The South Korean market will likely see significant shifts as manufacturers race to meet the evolving demands of tech-savvy consumers.”
