Geely’s Milestone Model Celebrates Global Success Amid Strategic Market Shifts

On the first day of 2026, Geely began selling a new version of the Geely Emgrand in China. The car is called the Emgrand Global 4 Millionth Commemorative Edition, marking an important milestone: the sale of 4 million Emgrands worldwide. The price is 72,900 CNY ($11,200), approximately $8,740. This version will take a place in the model range between the base trim with a manual transmission and the more expensive versions with a CVT, making it the second most affordable.

Despite its status as an entry-level model with a CVT, the anniversary version offers many options: LED daytime running lights, a light sensor, and the Follow me home function; Keyless entry and push-button engine start; Cruise control and AutoHold system; Electrically heated mirrors; Media system with an 8-inch screen and G-Link 3.0 support; Air purification system in the cabin.

The car’s dimensions remain the same: 4638x1820x1460 mm with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 120 hp, paired with a CVT that simulates 8 speeds. The suspension is typical for this class: front McPherson, rear torsion beam.

Recall that in 2025, the Geely Emgrand left the Russian market, replaced by the Belgee S50 model, production of which is established at a plant in Belarus.
