Geely has launched a special promotion for the Chinese New Year, significantly reducing the cost of two cars: the Coolray (known in China as the Geely Binyue) and the Emgrand. The Coolray crossover in the Super Edition configuration is available for 58,800 yuan ($9,440), which translates to about $675,000, while the sedan can be purchased for 48,800 yuan ($7,845), equivalent to $560,000. This isn’t a one-time offer; it starts today and will last until the end of February.
Interestingly, these already low prices aren’t final. For instance, through a trade-in, a discount of 4,000 yuan is offered. Additionally, a ‘guaranteed gift’ is promised with the purchase (though details are undisclosed). Moreover, vehicles can be purchased through a loan with a term of up to seven years without a down payment, and an extended warranty of 4 years or 150,000 km is included.
Geely Emgrand (known in Russia and Belarus as Belgee S50) has dimensions of 4638 × 1820 × 1460 mm with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. The vehicle is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 120 hp, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The first-generation Geely Coolray (also Belgee X50) is built on the modular BMA platform and equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection at 350 bar pressure. The model’s dimensions are 4330 × 1800 × 1609 mm with a wheelbase of 2600 mm.
