Verge Motorcycles Unveils Groundbreaking Electric Innovation
At the CES 2026 exhibition, Finnish company Verge Motorcycles unveiled the world’s first production motorcycles with solid-state batteries – the TS Pro and TS Ultra. The battery, developed in partnership with tech partner Donut Lab, marks the first application of such technology in production vehicles.

Revolutionary Battery Features
The new batteries boast phenomenal characteristics:
- Energy Density: 400 Wh/kg, higher than most modern electric cars.
- Durability: Endure 100,000 charge-discharge cycles without degradation.
- Reliability: Function between -30°C to 100°C while maintaining 99% capacity.
- Safety: Modular design prevents ignitions even with physical damage.
Charging: With 200 kW power, the battery charges up to 80% in 10 minutes – enough for 300 km (186 miles).
Eco-Friendly: Batteries are manufactured from readily available materials, eliminating dependence on rare metals and costing less than lithium counterparts.
Advanced Motorcycle Design
The motorcycles feature an upgraded motor wheel (‘donut’): mass reduced by 50% while maintaining 201 hp. The torque is a colossal 1000 Nm, surpassing not only motorcycles but even pickups. The bike accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph).



Pricing and Market Availability
The prices are as follows: Verge TS Pro: 20.2 kWh battery, range of 350 km (217 miles), priced at $30,900; Verge TS Ultra: 33.3 kWh battery, range of 600 km (373 miles), priced at $44,900.
Deliveries to clients will begin in the first quarter of 2026.
