Fender Audio’s Mix Hits High Notes with Impressive Battery Life and Customizable Design

Fender Audio, a division of the renowned guitar manufacturer, unveiled its first wireless headphones, Mix, at the CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The standout feature of the new product is its impressive battery life: up to 100 hours without active noise cancelling (ANC) and 52 hours with ANC on at 50% volume. The headphones’ battery is replaceable, extending the device’s lifespan. A quick 15-minute charge provides an hour of listening, while a full charge takes two hours.

For comparison, Marshall Major V headphones also can operate for up to 100 hours on a single charge, while the Sony WH-1000XM6 offers only 30 hours with ANC and 40 hours without. Bose QuietComfort Ultra, recognized by CNET as the best wireless headphones, work for 30 hours on a single charge.

Mix headphones will be available in two colors: Skyscraper Black and Olympic White, with three more options to be released later. Their modular design allows for interchangeable headbands and ear cups, simplifying maintenance and personalization. Mix supports three audio modes: lossless, low latency, and auracast. Lossless enables high-resolution audio streaming at 96 kHz/24 bit. Low latency offers high-quality audio streaming with less than 20 ms delay for gaming. Auracast allows audio broadcasting to multiple devices simultaneously.

For calls, Mix headphones are equipped with a dual microphone system featuring noise cancellation, ensuring clear voice sound. A 3.5 mm AUX input is also provided. The planned retail price of the headphones is $300.

The release of the Mix headphones reflects broader trends in the market focusing on enhanced battery longevity, customization options, and the incorporation of innovative audio features tailored to diverse user needs. The market’s positive reception highlights a growing demand for headphones that marry style with advanced technology.
