At a recent launch, Dreame introduced its first router, Lingxiao D70, which is now available in China at a price of approximately $40. Notably, the Lingxiao D70 supports Wi-Fi 7, facilitating dual-band operation with speeds up to 3600 Mbps. The router is powered by a Qualcomm quad-core SoC clocked at 1.1 GHz, paired with 512 MB of RAM, and it supports connections for up to 256 devices.
Equipped with four high-gain external omni-directional antennas, the Dreame Lingxiao D70 ensures robust signal coverage. Its architecture includes four 1000 Mbps LAN ports and a 2.5G WAN port, aligning with the latest EasyMesh protocol to create a hybrid network of up to 12 devices through wired or wireless connections.
Dreame’s entry into the router market showcases their strategic expansion beyond home appliances. Wi-Fi 7 technologies are currently setting benchmarks in connectivity, with broader channel bandwidths and vastly improved data rates. This launch positions Dreame competitively against established brands like TP-Link and Netgear, which have also embraced Wi-Fi 7 in their latest models.
As the demand for high-speed home internet solutions surges, owing to remote work and streaming services, the Lingxiao D70’s cost-effective price point aims to capture the budget-conscious while offering cutting-edge technology. According to industry experts, Wi-Fi 7 adoption is expected to accelerate rapidly, with further enhancements in network stability and interface expansion anticipated in the near future.
