New Entrants: Features and Expectations

The top-tier RS1 model is built on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, featuring a 144Hz screen without notches, a silicon-carbon battery with a 7200mAh capacity supporting 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, IP69-rated protection, and cameras with sensors at 50, 50, and 64MP. These specifications closely mimic the Nubia Z80 Ultra flagship model: the Dreame RS1 is essentially a rebranded Nubia flagship. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, known for boosting performance and energy efficiency, adds to the allure of the RS1.

On the other hand, the compact Dreame Air1 is powered by a MediaTek SoC, with a chassis thickness of just 5.9 mm and a weight of only 172 grams. This model comes with a 5000mAh battery and a 108MP camera, appealing to users seeking performance in a lightweight design. The MediaTek chipset is recognized for providing a balance of performance and cost-efficiency for mid-range segments.

The Dreame E1 targets budget-conscious consumers by offering a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a camera with 108MP resolution, accommodating users who prioritize visual experience without breaking the bank.

Dreame’s Market Ambitions

Dreame’s entry into the smartphone market comes at a time when technological enhancements and competitive pricing strategies are crucial to gaining a foothold. Industry experts speculate that Dreame’s household brand recognition could pave the way for success in this new venture. Potential customers and tech enthusiasts alike are keenly observing how Dreame’s innovative approach to product design will influence its smartphone offerings and impact European competitors.
