Dockcase has unveiled the unique Selfix case for the iPhone 17 Pro – an accessory that adds a second display to the smartphone’s back panel. Essentially, this mirrors the additional screen found in the Xiaomi 17 Pro, enabling the main camera to be used as a tool for high-quality selfies and videoblogging.
The Selfix is equipped with a round 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and supports touch control. The screen operates without delays and does not require a separate app installation. The set includes its own power button for quick activation and deactivation of the panel, as well as a USB-C port supporting PD 3.0 with a power capacity up to 100 W.
One of the most unusual features is the microSD slot – memory can be expanded up to 2 TB, with photos and videos from the card appearing directly in the standard iPhone gallery. Dockcase offers the Selfix in several colors: “midnight black,” “oat white,” and “blush pink.” The cost and release date have yet to be announced, but the project has already launched on Kickstarter.
Since the initial launch, the Selfix case has received attention for its innovation. Users and tech enthusiasts have praised its practicality, particularly appreciating the option to expand storage with microSD, a rare feature in modern smartphones. As of now, the Kickstarter campaign has seen significant backing, hinting at strong market interest.
Dockcase plans to announce the official release date and pricing next quarter, with anticipations for further enhancements based on initial backer feedback. This approach aims to keep the product aligned with user expectations and technological advancements.
