During the Denza Night event, Denza, a sub-brand of BYD, announced the rollout of their 300,000th D9 minivan. The manufacturer confirmed that the model will soon be launched in the European market, and the Denza Z hypercar is set for official testing at the legendary Nürburgring track.
Currently, the Denza D9 in China is available in 2024 and 2025 model years, with Premium and Supreme trims. The price of available modifications ranges from 310 to 600 thousand yuan ($43,500 – $84,000).

The 2025 model is offered in both hybrid and electric versions. The vehicle has received an updated grille, new paint options, and an improved set of features: the signature “Eye of God” driver assistance system for self-driving on highways and cities, intelligent parking, and upgraded AirSPA seats in the second row. The third row now features electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating.

The 2025 hybrid version has transitioned to the fifth generation of BYD’s hybrid technology. The power of the 1.5-liter internal combustion engine has increased to 156 hp, while the front electric motor now delivers 272 hp. All hybrid modifications come with a 40 kWh traction battery, providing an electric-only driving range of 190 km (118 miles), and a total range of 1020 km (634 miles). The electric version is equipped with a 103 kWh traction battery and a 313 hp electric motor, offering a maximum range of 600 km (373 miles).
