MSI has unveiled the MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI, a Mini-ITX motherboard uniquely designed for AMD’s Ryzen 7000, 8000G, and 9000 processors. This release is significant for PC builders seeking power in a compact form.
The MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI boasts an 11-phase VRM power subsystem. It requires a single 8-pin EPS connector, ensuring stable and efficient power delivery.
Built on a robust 10-layer PCB with a 2 oz copper layer, the motherboard promises superior conductivity and durability.
This model supports blisteringly fast DDR5 memory up to 8200 MT/s, with two slots available for RAM modules. Storage options are versatile, featuring an M.2 PCIe 5.0×4 slot with active cooling, and an additional M.2 PCIe 4.0×4 slot on the rear, complemented by two SATA III ports.
Network capabilities are powered by Realtek’s RTK8126 5-gigabit controller with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, offering download speeds up to 5.8 Gbps. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC4080 codec.
For external connections, the board includes USB-C ports offering rates of 20 Gbps and 10 Gbps, several USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, S/PDIF, and dual Wi-Fi antennas.
MSI has not disclosed the price of the MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI. However, considering the current market price of around $310 for its ATX counterpart, this compact model may be available at a lower cost.
