China achieved its third successful space launch in a single day at 23:08 Beijing time on December 9, 2025. From the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, the Long March-3B carrier rocket successfully placed the Communication Technology Experiment Satellite-22 into its designated orbit. This satellite is designed for satellite communications, broadcasting, data transmission, and technological experiments in these areas. This launch marked the 615th flight of the Long March rocket family.
Earlier that day, China conducted two more successful launches. At 6:11 am Beijing time, the Long March-6A from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center placed 15 low-Earth orbit satellites intended for satellite internet development into orbit. At 11:41, the Long March-4B from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center sent the Yaogan-47 satellite into space.
